We are on a flight to England with the dog, but a few weeks ago, I discovered it was slightly enlarged spleen. She is 9 years and has been neutered. Would a flight of 8 hours and wondered if anyone knew whether they can fly with us as it is?

There should be no problem ... but can also ask people to check on the airport.
This is a good question for your vet - he knows that his dog to know, not us. He knows why they are an enlarged spleen and could result in the reduction of the 8-hour flight cause.
